Zavalas bbq

Zavalas bbq in Grand Prairie wanted a simple mural done on their water tower above their resturant.

the flag

It was simple as could be. The old Lorenzo De Zavala flag would be put in white on the tower.

How it was done

So I got the flag design and printed a huge 4 part stencil cut at UTA’s fablab. Then I put a thin screen behind the stencil so that I could spray paint through it after the stencil was taped to the well. (thank you Noel for teaching us this trick.)

High winds

Besides my fear of heights, The winds were high that day so i’m pretty sure passerbys had a entertaining time seeing me flail around with a hug stencil. The deed was done after a hour or two using good MTN white spray paint and touched up with blue house paint.
