SUSHI AND RAMEN

I approached Sushi and Ramen with a wall panel mural idea cause 1. I always ate there, 2. The walls were blank. I proposed that I could do the panels with detailed black paint designs that could catch the eye of customers walking through the restaurant. The first one done was the Octochef taking inspiration from Kim Jung Gi’s scene building. The 2nd one was the Ramenfish which shows a school of Jelly/Ramen fish swimming. The 3rd and most difficult one was the Koi Bowl since it was done with white paint. White paint on a dark surface is a hard task since it takes multiple passes to get the paint to pop. The last was the lucky cat panel that is located right next to the octo chef.

Solo project

This was a good learning experience. It was solo project so It felt good to get out there and just hit up these panels with all I had. It gave me the confidence to go and pursue future mural projects inside of restaurants/businesses.

Hand painted sign for the entrance of the resturant. Done with BEHR paints of course.

Tiger bowl done with hand paints. This was a pain in the #%$% but it was well worth it.
